Eucharistic Adoration

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a great gift from God Himself to the Church, and we are so blessed to be able to offer this great devotion here at our St. Barnabas Chapel, with our new Adoration Tabernacle.

This unique opportunity to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the tabernacle, requires that someone be present while Jesus is exposed. Our tabernacle in the chapel allows the adorer to expose the Eucharist on their ownnsimply by opening the small front doors. As you open the doors to expose Jesus, a simple prayer said out loud such as "We adore you, Lord Jesus" is appropriate.

If, while in Adoration, you must leave and no one else is in the chapel, the Blessed Sacrament must be "reposed." When no one is present, the doors exposing the Eucharist are simply closed by the adorer, allowing Jesus to only be exposed when someone is available to adore Him. Please, ALWAYS make sure to close the doors to the Tabernacle before you leave! Even if you just have to leave to use the restroom and plan to come right back, please repose Jesus by closing the doors. A simple prayer said alound, like "All praise to you, Lord Jesus" is fitting as you close the doors.

Thank you!
