Liturgy Committee

“Liturgy”, or “the form of public religious worship”, encompasses so much of our life together in the parish.  Weekly Masses, funerals and weddings, prayer services and celebrations of healing are but a few of the countless occasions the community gathers together to worship the Lord!  The Liturgy Committee is charged with working on all aspects of our gathering in prayer, to ensure that our worship will be pure and effective in giving thanks to God, and in calling upon His continued graciousness to us.  Members of the Committee bring their gifts and talents to bear on planning the environment for our services, formulated various prayers and intentions, planning music and even suggesting topics and themes for our communal focus at various liturgical seasons and celebrations.

The Liturgy Committee usually meets at 6pm in the Parish Center Library. (dates and times are listed in the bulletin), and seeks the input of all.   Those gifted in the creative arts, floral arrangement, writing and the spoken word are most welcomed and truly needed for the work to be accomplished fully and well.
